Ordinance No. 2016-10-21: To amend the portion of Ordinance No. 2008-9-34 codified as Section 18-32 of Article II, Collection Charges, of Chapter 18, Solid Waste of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Plano, Texas for administrative convenience and codification purposes to reflect the increase in the 95 gallon single-family and duplex container rate adopted as a part of the Plano city budget on September 12, 2016; and providing a repealer clause, a severability clause, and an effective date. Applicants are limited to fifteen (15) minutes presentation time with a five (5) minute rebuttal, if needed. Remaining speakers are limited to thirty (30) total minutes of testimony time, with three (3) minutes assigned per speaker. The presiding officer may extend these times as deemed necessary.

 

Non-Public Hearing Items:

 

The Presiding Officer may permit limited public comment for items on the agenda not posted for a Public Hearing. The Presiding Officer will establish time limits based upon the number of speaker requests, length of the agenda, and to ensure meeting efficiency, and may include a cumulative time limit. Speakers will be called in the order cards are received until the cumulative time is exhausted.

Ordinance No. 2016-10-25:  To determine the public use, need and necessity for the acquisition of an access easement over and across a 9,768 square foot or .224 acre tract of land located in the Samuel T. Noblit Survey, Abstract No. 667 in Lot 3 of the El Ranchero Country Estates as described in attached Exhibit “A,” in the City of Plano, Collin County, Texas; for the purpose of accessing sewer facilities located at White Rock Creek through the access easement from Ranchero Road; authorizing the City Manager and the City Attorney, or their respective designees, to acquire the property including making initial and bona fide offers, and authorizing the City Attorney to file proceedings in eminent domain to condemn the needed real property for public use, if necessary, and providing an effective date. ADOPTED

Municipal Center is wheelchair accessible.  A sloped curb entry is available at the main entrance facing Municipal/L Avenue, with specially marked parking spaces nearby.  Access and special parking are also available on the north side of the building.  The Senator Florence Shapiro Council Chambers is accessible by elevator to the lower level.  Requests for sign interpreters or special services must be received forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting time by calling the City Secretary at 972-941-7120.
