| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The Engineering Department opened bids on October 14, 2025, for Bridge Repairs Phase IV, Project No. ENG-S-7456. The project includes designated repairs at twenty-eight (28) bridge locations within the City of Plano.
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Iron T Construction Inc. in the amount of $1,886,360. There were a total of 2,605 vendors notified of this project. Six (6) complete bids were received for this project as shown in the attached bid recap.
If this project is not awarded, it will result in continued deterioration of bridge surfaces and appurtenances, resulting in increased maintenance costs and safety concerns for motorists and pedestrians who rely on these structures. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is budgeted in the FY 2025-26 Street Improvement CIP and is planned for future years as well. Construction services for the Bridget Repairs Phase IV project in the total amount of $1,886,360 will leave a balance of $296,165 for future expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
