| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY To approve a contract made and entered into by and between the City of Plano, and Kaleb Breaux, the Elections Administrator of Collin County, Texas, pursuant to the authority in Subchapter D, Section 31.092 of Chapter 31, of the Texas Election Code, regarding the coordination, supervision, and running of the City's January 31, 2026, Special Election and City Run-off Election, if necessary, in the amount of $224,349; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The City of Plano participates in a Joint Election Contract with Collin County to provide election services. This ensures ease of access to voting for all registered voters. This Special Election is to fill the vacancy resulting from Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Holmer's resignation. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this unbudgeted item, in the amount of $224,349, will come from savings in the General Fund.
