The Parks and Recreation Department opened bids on April 10, 2025, for Prairie Meadow Park Drainage Improvements, Project No. PKR-P-00099. The project provides drainage improvements adjacent to the existing trail on the north side of the pond at Prairie Meadow Park.
The project includes the replacement of trail sections with concrete trail, box culverts, rough and fine site grading, irrigation repair, and sod replacement.
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by C. Green Scaping, LP in the amount of $107,062. A total of 1,600 vendors were notified of this project. Six (6) complete bids were received, as shown in the attached bid recap.
The benefits of this project are enhanced safety and accessibility for trail users, improved drainage to prevent standing water that attracts mosquitos and other disease-carrying pests, and overall improvement to park aesthetics and usability for residents.
Failure to approve this item could result in ongoing drainage issues across the trail, standing water hazards and potential health risks, and diminished park usability and appearance.
