RFB No. 2025-0274-B for 62-Plano Event Center Replace Parking Lot Lights and Poles, Project No. FAC-F-00161, for the Facilities Division of the Engineering Department to Victory Lighting & Electrical Services, LLC in the amount of $266,596; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved

The Facilities Division of the Engineering Department opened bids on April 17, 2025, for RFB 2025-0274-B 62-Plano Event Center Replace Parking Lot Lights and Poles, Project No. FAC-F-00161.

This project includes replacement of the existing parking lot lighting to include the light fixtures and poles with a bid alternate to replace the walkway bollard lights.  The existing parking lot lighting is experiencing failures and has reached its end of life. 

There were a total of 1,788 vendors notified of this project with nine (9) complete bids received as shown in the attached bid recap.  The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Victory Lighting & Electrical Services, LLC in the amount of $232,561 plus one alternate with a cost of $34,035 for a total recommended award of $266,596.

If this bid is not awarded, the existing parking lot lighting will continue to deteriorate causing safety risk to Plano Event Center visitors.

Funding for this item is available in the FY 2024-25 Plano Event Center Budget.  Approval of the replacement of the existing parking lot light fixtures and poles and the walkway bollard lights for the Plano Event Center Replace Parking Lot Lights and Poles project has a total estimated cost of $266,596.
