The Engineering Department opened bids on June 10, 2025 for the Water Rehabilitation - Creekside Estates project ENG-CMB-00007. The project scope entails the removal and replacement of approximately 12,000 linear feet of existing 6-inch and 8-inch waterlines, along with associated pavement reconstruction and the installation of barrier-free ramps. This work will take place within the Creekside Estates neighborhood, bounded by Park Boulevard to the north, Los Robles Drive to the south, Country Club Drive to the east, and Los Rios Boulevard to the west.
The bid award includes two bid alternates for trenchless pipe installation in effort to minimize private property destruction and avoid major traffic impacts to the adjacent Los Rios Boulevard. Alternates 1 and 2 (different size pipes) are recommended due to their proven reliability, minimizing traffic disruption, and limited private property impact.
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by ANA Site Construction in the amount of $4,020,272. There were a total of 1,953 vendors notified of this project. Eleven (11) complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.
If this project is not awarded, it will result in the continued deterioration of the existing waterlines in the Creekside Estates neighborhood. This degradation will lead to increased maintenance costs for the City and adversely affect the quality of life for residents in the area.
