The Building Inspections Department has completed a fee review in collaboration with the Budget & Research Department, and MGT consultants. There are 14 individual fees which should be considered for adjustment and three fees that can be removed. Additional information related to each of the fees is provided in the attached memo.
Fees Adjusted:
- Certificate of Occupancy
- Clean and Show/House Lights
- Contractor Solid Waste Disposal
- In-Home Day Care
- Mobile home gas/elec hookup
- Outdoor fireplace
- Simple Trade Permits for Residential
- Reinspection Fees - First
- Reinspection Fees - Second
- Reinspection Fees - Third
- After Hours Inspections
- Same Day Inspection
- Temporary/Seasonal Sales
- Plumbing Site Pre-Build
Fees Removed:
- Awning Commercial
- Satellite Dish
- Reprint of lost permit

| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS This item establishes new fees for multiple commercial and residential building services. The increase for each service varies and the exact amount of additional revenue is indeterminable at this time; however, for FY 2025-26, a formal fee study estimates an increase in revenue of approximately $278,372. Future year amounts will be based on development and services needed. All additional revenue will go to the General Fund Budget.
