| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The Engineering Department accepted bids on November 13, 2025, for the Historic Downtown Guide Signs, Project No. TP-S-00004. The project includes two overhead large guide signs along President George Bush Turnpike, as well as several small ground mountguide signs along the US 75 and SH 190 frontage roads. All these signs will be brown Historic Downtown guide signs.
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Odum Services, LLC, in the amount of $165,911. There were a total of 2,641 vendors notified of this project. Three (3) complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.
If this project is not awarded, Plano's Historic Downtown will not have wayfinding signs pointing from US 75 and President George Bush Turnpike. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is available in the 2025-26 Capital Maintenance Fund. Construction services for the Historic Downtown Guide Signs project in the total amount of $165,911 will leave a balance of $25,914 for future expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
