COMMENTS:              Funding for this item is available in the Capital Reserve Fund and has been planned for future years.  The estimated expenditure to be purchased from this contract in FY 2016-17 is $200,000, which anticipates steady progress from mid-August 2017 through September 2017 on a contract valued at $1,597,773.  Future expenditures will be made by Public Works within annually approved budget appropriations; however, as a requirements contract with two optional renewals, the potential exists for $4,793,319 in total expenditures to occur before the current fiscal year closes on September 30, 2017.  

SUMMARY OF ITEM


Public Works Department recommends the bid for the Pavement Maintenance Requirements Contract – Minor Repair III Project to Jerusalem Corporation, in the amount of $1,597,773.00, be accepted as the lowest responsible bid for the project conditioned upon timely execution of all necessary documents.

 

This project involves the repair of 18,200 SY of concrete pavement repair in various locations, throughout the City of Plano.

 

Engineer’s estimate for this project is $1,830,000.
