COMMENTS: Funding for this item is available in the 2016-17 Recreation Center Facilities CIP and planned for future years. This architectural services agreement for the High Point Tennis Center Renovations project, in the amount of $375,000, will leave a total project balance of $4,625,000 available for future project expenditures. |

SUMMARY OF ITEM
High Point Tennis Center was constructed in 1978. This project is for design of a complete renovation of the 39 year old facility. Proposed improvements include a new pro shop, court improvements, pedestrian circulation improvements, improved outdoor gathering spaces, new landscaping and additional parking with access from Spring Creek Parkway. The new pro shop will be designed to better serve the needs of tennis players, teams, tournaments and the classes that use High Point Tennis Center. The new pro shop will also be located where it is visible from Spring Creek Parkway.
JBI Partners, Inc. was selected to prepare a master plan for the renovation in 2013 from the 2013-14 annual consultant list for Landscape Architects. This project is a continuation of that initial design project. The consultant team includes GGO Architects for the pro shop design.
The design fee is $375,000 which is 8.1 % of the construction budget of $4,625,000.
Funding for this project was approved in the 2013 and 2017 Bond Programs and is available in the 2016-17 CIP Budget.
