SUMMARY OF ITEM
Staff recommends the bid received from Rebcon, Inc. in the amount of $381,620 be accepted as the lowest responsible bid conditioned upon timely execution of any necessary contract documents.
The $381,620 award includes installation of a traffic signal, a new left-turn lane, relocation of the bike trail/pedestrian crossing, and new accessible trail ramps.
The low bid of $381,620 exceeds the construction estimate of $350,000. Three bids were received. Staff does not believe that rebidding the project will result in lower bids. Project funding is available to award a contract based on the actual bids received.
