RFB No. 2020-0385-B for the Sanitary Sewer Manhole Lining Project - 2020, Project No. 7180, for Public Works Department to Infrastructure Rehabilitation USA, Inc. in the amount of $1,249,850; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved

Public Works recommends the bid for the Sanitary Sewer Manhole Lining Project - 2020 project to be awarded to Infrastructure Rehabilitation USA, Inc., in the amount of $1,249,850, to be accepted as the lowest responsible bid for the project conditioned upon timely execution of all necessary documents.

The project involves the lining of 1,890 vertical feet in sewer manholes to prevent infiltration and restore structural strength in 184 sanitary sewer manholes at various locations throughout the City of Plano.

Engineer's estimate for this project is $1,318,000.

If not awarded, the sanitary sewer manholes will not be lined, allowing for the possibility of infiltration and structural damage.

Funding for this item is available in the 2019-20 Sewer CIP and is expected in 2020-21.  The contract for the Sanitary Sewer Manhole Lining project, in the total amount of $1,249,850, will leave a current year balance of $30,000 available for future project expenditures.       

Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government and meets the Plano Tomorrow Pillar of Built Environment.
