| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY RFB No. 2020-0651-ER for the initial term of $1,778,400 or two (2) years, whichever occurs first, with two (2) City optional renewals for Brick Screening Wall Panel Replacement & Wall Repair Requirements Contract III, Project 7283, for Public Works Department to Tracon Ventures, Ltd. in the amount of $1,778,400 for each term; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND Public Works Department recommends the bid for the Brick Screening Wall Panel Replacement & Wall Repair Requirements Contract III to be awarded to Tracon Ventures, Ltd.,in the amount of $1,778,400.00, be accepted as the lowest responsible bid for the project conditioned upon timely execution of all necessary documents.
This project involves the repair or replacement of 1,900 screening wall brick panels, 3,000 SF of double brick screening wall, 1,020 brick columns as well as beams, mow strips and column caps needed for these repairs, at various locations throughout the City of Plano.
If project is not awarded by Council, the repairs will not occur, leaving the brick screening walls in an unsafe condition.
Engineer's estimate for this project is $1,948,000. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is planned in the 2020-21 Capital Maintenance Fund Budget and is anticipated in future years, as well. Award of the Brick Screening Wall Panel Replacement & Wall Repair Requirements Contract III has an initial term of two (2) years or $1,778,400 and two (2) City optional renewals of the same term, for an estimated total amount of $5,335,200 if all renewal options are exercised.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
