(RETURN TO P&Z FOR ADDITIONAL STUDY UPON RENOTICE) | | RECOMMENDED ACTION: | Items for Individual Consideration |
  |
  | | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY Public Hearing and consideration of an Ordinance as requested in Zoning Case 2020-014 to amend the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City, Ordinance No. 2015-5-2, as heretofore amended, so as to amend Section 10.700 (UMU, Urban Mixed-Use District), Section 10.800 (BG, Downtown Business/Government District), and related sections of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to necessary clarifications and improvements in regulations; directing a change accordingly in the official zoning map of the City; and providing a penalty clause, a repealer clause, a savings clause, a severability clause, a publication clause, and an effective date. (RETURN TO P&Z FOR ADDITIONAL STUDY UPON RENOTICE) Remanded to Planning & Zoning Commission |
  | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND P&Z recommended approval by a vote of 7-1; however, staff has received inquiries from downtown property owners regarding the proposed ordinance language. The property owners asked that the case be returned to P&Z for further review.

These requests were not proposed prior to the P&Z hearing.  As this is an ordinance amendment, staff has reviewed the information and concurs with the property owners that this item should be returned to P&Z for further study to ensure any new information is addressed in the P&Z recommendation to City Council.

Individuals contacting the city regarding the item will be notified with the date the case is scheduled for P&Z consideration.  This flexibility will allow time for further discussions with property owners and thoughtful re-consideration of the language proposed. |
