The Engineering Department recommends approval of an expenditure in the amount of $255,761 for engineering professional services from Urban Engineers Group, Inc, for the Screening Wall Replacement - Amelia Court, Park Boulevard, Woodburn Corners and Custer Road, Project No. 7290. This project includes replacement of the existing screening walls, sidewalks and alley pavement at the following locations:
1. Screening wall along Amelia Court and W. Park Boulevard (~1550 LF) – Replace screening wall and sidewalk.
2. Screening wall along Custer Road (~700 LF) – Replace screening wall, adjacent alley pavement and sidewalk.
3. Screening wall along Woodburn Corners (~320 LF) – Replace screening wall, adjacent alley pavement and sidewalk.
Urban Engineers Group, Inc. was deemed most qualified based on their Statement of Qualifications submission for RFQ No. 2019-0396-X.
The benefit of this project includes reconstruction of deteriorating and unsafe neighborhood infrastructure.
Not approving the expenditure would result in continued deterioration and potential unsafe neighborhood infrastructure, resulting in increased maintenance costs and a reduction of the quality of life for residents.
