| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY Resolution No. 2021-2-8(R): To ratify the terms and conditions of a contract with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs in an amount not to exceed $380,708.40 in Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus funds under the Texas Emergency Rental Assistance Program; designating the City Manager as Chief Executive Officer and authorized representative of the City for the purpose of executing the contract consistent with this resolution, acting in connection with said contract, and providing required information; providing an effective date; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND City of Plano is entitled to receive $380,708.40 in Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funds from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA), under the Texas Emergency Rental Assistance Program (TERAP). These funds will be used to provide rental assistance for households with an income at or below 80% of the area median income that have been affected by COVID-19. All funds must be obligated to program participants by July 31, 2021 and expended by January 14, 2022. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS This item approves a contract with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus funds under the Texas Emergency Rental Assistance Program. The total amount to be received in FY 2020-21 and FY 2021-22 is not to exceed $380,709.
