| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY To approve a request to grant an electric utility easement on City property identified as 1000 K Avenue for the installation of below grade electric services for the Plano Marine development across K Avenue; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved |
| | | | | | | | PREVIOUS ACTION/PRESENTATION A Development Agreement with TB Plano 1 LLC for the property to be served by the easement was approved at the August 13, 2018 Council Meeting and subsequently amended at the October 12, 2020 Council meeting to include the undergrounding of aerial power lines. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The developer of the Plano Marine project has begun project construction and requires the rights for electric lines to cross below grade at the City owned property at the northeast corner of 10th Street and K/Municipal Avenue. This property is the remainder from a larger parcel originally acquired in 1989 for the construction of Municipal Avenue. A 884 square foot easement across the front of the City property has been proposed and is supported by Plano's Engineering Department. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS The granting of this easement at 1001 K Avenue will result in a one-time revenue in the estimated amount of $2,625 to the Street Improvements CIP.
