| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY RFB No. 2021-0295-B for Alley Reconstruction - Campstone Drive, Nova Trail, Sailmaker Lane, Anchor Drive, Steven Drive, and Canoncita Lane, Project No. 7213, for the Engineering Department to RBR Infrastructure & Road, LLC in the amount of $1,029,551; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The Engineering Department opened bids on April 29, 2021, for Alley Reconstruction – Campstone Drive, Nova Trail, Sailmaker Lane, Anchor Drive, Steven Drive, and Canoncita Drive, Project No. 7213. The project includes replacement of approximately 6,000 linear feet of existing alley at the following locations:
• Campstone Drive Alley – Kemper Drive to Coach House Lane (1,100 LF)
• Nova Trail Alley – Stillwell Road to Bronze Leaf Drive (1,200 LF)
• Sailmaker Lane Alley – Stillwell Road to Bronze Leaf Drive (1,200 LF)
• Anchor Drive Alley – Stillwell Road to Bronze Leaf Drive (1,200 LF)
• Steven Drive Alley – Alley intersection South of Omar Lane to Stillwell Road (550 LF)
• Canoncita Lane Alley – Mission Ridge Road to Echo Trail (750 LF)
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by RBR Infrastructure & Road, LLC in the amount of $1,029,551. There were a total of 726 vendors notified of this project. 16 complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.
If this project is not awarded, neighborhood infrastructure at these locations will continue to deteriorate leading to increased future maintenance costs and reduction in the quality of life for the residents.

| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is available in the 2020-21 Street Improvements CIP and is planned for 2021-22, as well. Construction services for Alley Reconstruction - Campstone Drive, Nova Trail, Sailmaker Lane, Anchor Drive, Steven Drive, and Canoncita Drive, Project No. 7213, in the total estimated amount of $1,029,551, will leave a current year balance of $870,449 for future project expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
