| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND Public Works Department recommends the bid for the Arterial Overlay Jupiter Rd - Chaparral Rd to Park Blvd project to be awarded to Austin Bridge & Road, LP, in the amount of $1,269,339.00, be accepted as the lowest responsible bid for the project, conditioned upon timely execution of all necessary documents.
This project is to furnish and lay down ultra-thin asphalt overlay on Jupiter Road between Chaparral Road and Park Boulevard.
If this project is not awarded by Council, the overlay will not occur and the pavement will deteriorate quicker and the riding surface will be rougher and noisier.
Engineer's estimate for this project is $1,540,000. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is available in the 2020-21 Capital Maintenance Fund budget. Award of the bid for the Arterial Overlay Jupiter Rd - Chaparral Rd to Park Blvd project, in the total estimated amount of $1,269,339, will leave a current year balance of $270,661 for future project expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government.
