Resolution No. 2021-6-6(R): To approve an additional contract with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs in the amount not to exceed $11,624 for the Homeless Housing and Services Program Youth Set-Aside under Texas Government Code §2306.2585; designating the City Manager as Chief Executive Officer and authorized representative of the City for the purpose of executing the contract consistent with this resolution, giving required assurances, acting in connection with said contract, and providing required information; providing an effective date; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Adopted

On March 31, 2021, the City of Plano received notice of a Homeless Housing and Services Program Youth Set-Aside (HHSP) award of $11,624 in reallocated 2019 and 2020 funds from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) to serve homeless youth. The funds will be added to the City’s current contract for HHSP Youth Set-Aside funds and will be used to provide housing payments and essential services to participants of the City’s Rapid Rehousing program.

This item approves a contract with the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. The contract grants The City of Plano, Texas with Homeless Housing and Services Program Youth Set-Aside Funds under Texas Government Code §2306.2585. The total amount to be received in FY 2020-21 and FY 2021-22 is not to exceed $11,624.
