The Plano City Council approved the expenditure for design and engineering services for the Plano Parkway Intersection Improvements project at its January 28, 2019 meeting. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND
Planned improvements call for increasing the turn radius for vehicles traveling from the southbound lane of Legacy Drive onto the westbound lanes of Headquarters Drive to improve traffic flow at this intersection and relocate the sidewalk in response to the wider turn radius. A third party appraisal by Pyles Whatley Corporation determined the fair market value for the easements and associated impacts to the property to be $55,445. Toyota has agreed to this compensation amount. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is available in the 2020-21 Street Improvements CIP. The acquisition of an easement required for the Plano Parkway Intersection Improvements project, in the total estimated amount of $55,445, will leave a current year balance of $2,006,404 for future project expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government.
