BACKGROUND

Plano Fire-Rescue recommends approving the purchase of sixteen (16) LUCAS chest compression devices.

Plano Fire-Rescue uses the Stryker LUCAS chest compression device for mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  We have identified sixteen (16) units that have exceeded their 5-year recommended service life.  Plano Fire-Rescue is seeking approval to purchase sixteen (16) replacement LUCAS chest compression devices.  Stryker is the sole source vendor for the LUCAS chest compression device.
