Facilities has reviewed the four (4) bids submitted for refinishing the bay floors at Fire Stations 1,3, 6 & 8. Facilities recommends award to the lowest responsive, responsible bid to Cherry Painting Company, Inc. dba Cherry Coatings in the total amount of $158,331.00. 

There were five (5) companies that “no bid” the project.

The floor finish in the bay areas of the fire stations has deteriorated due to normal wear and tear such that they have become slippery and refinishing is required to prevent accidental falls and injuries.

The funding for the project is in the following accounts:

                  Fire Station #1:     Capital Maintenance Fund Account 54478

                  Fire Station #3:     Capital Maintenance Fund Account 54405

                  Fire Station #6:     Capital Maintenance Fund Account 54448

                  Fire Station #8:     Capital Maintenance Fund Account 54487

Funding for this item is available in the 2020-21 Capital Maintenance Fund.  Refinishing of the bay floors at Fire Stations 1, 3, 6 & 8, in the total estimated amount of $158,331, will leave a combined current year balance of $193,874 for future expenditures at those facilities.
