| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The City has reviewed the bid submitted for 15th Place Utility Relocation, Project No. 6868. The City recommends award to the lowest responsive responsible bid submitted by Fast General Contracting, LLC for $268,500.00. The City received 1 bid response and 8 no bid responses.
Plano Engineering attempts to continue to improve the aesthetics of the Downtown Business/Government District (BG) by burying overhead power lines underground. In order to continue with this initiative, the segment of overhead power along the southern right-of-way of 15th Place is proposed to be buried underground.
Failure to award this contract will hinder Plano Engineering's ability to continue the initiative of burying overhead power lines in the Downtown Business/Government District (BG). |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for the 15th Place Utility Relocation is available in the 2020-21 TIF II Fund. Awarding a contract to Fast General Contracting, LLC, in the amount of $268,500, will leave a balance of $12,828,354 for future expenditures in the TIF II Project Plan.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
