The City solicited proposals for Joint Use Police Substation Remodel. The City received thirteen responsive proposals and one non-responsive proposal. There were eight companies that "no bid".
A Technical Evaluation Team ranked only the technical aspects of the proposals, which comprised 60% of the overall score.

Per the published evaluation criteria staff recommends Pogue Construction Co., LP to be awarded the contract, as the best value for the City, for the Joint Use Police Substation Remodel in the amount of $1,159,615.
The renovation will repair structural damage to the foundation in the Men's and Women's locker rooms. Plumbing lines damaged by foundation movement also need to be repaired. Some additional modifications are required to meet changing department requirements. If the renovation is not completed structural repairs may become more costly in the future.
The funding for the project is provided for in the Capital Maintenance Fund 54408.
