Public Works recommends the bid for the Cartegraph Concrete Sidewalk Repairs - 2021 project be awarded to Alvand Construction, Inc., dba Advance Contracting Group, in the amount of $792,700.00, to be accepted as the lowest responsible bid for the project, conditioned upon timely execution of all necessary documents.

The project involves the repair of 70,000 square feet of concrete sidewalk and 108 barrier free ramps, located throughout the City of Plano. The needed repairs were reported to the City from residents and documented through Cartegraph, the Public Works Department work management system. This project will address 329 Cartegraph requests.

If not awarded by Council, the repairs will be postponed, leaving these sidewalk locations in an unsafe condition.

Engineer's estimate for this project is $923,000.

Funding for this item is available in the 2020-21 Capital Maintenance Fund and is planned for 2021-22, as well.  Concrete sidewalk repairs, in the total estimated amount of $792,700, will leave a current year balance of $304,734 for future project expenditures.
