ITEM SUMMARY

RFB No. 2021-0374-B for the Sanitary Sewer Manhole Lining Project - 2021, Project No. 7347, for the Public Works Department to T. Gray Utility & Rehab Co., L.L.C. in the amount of $889,600; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved

BACKGROUND

Public Works Department recommends the bid for the Sanitary Sewer Manhole Lining Project - 2021 project be awarded to T. Gray Utility & Rehab Co., L.L.C., in the amount of $889,600.00, to be accepted as the lowest responsible bid for the project, conditioned upon timely execution of all necessary documents.

 

The project involves the lining of 1,286 vertical feet in sewer manholes to prevent infiltration and restore structural strength in 139 sanitary sewer manholes at various locations throughout the City of Plano.

 

Engineer's estimate for this project is $905,000.

 

If not awarded at council, the sanitary sewer manholes will not be lined, allowing for the possibility of infiltration and structural damage.

FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS

Funding for this item is planned in the 2021-22 Sewer CIP.  Award of the Sanitary Sewer Manhole Lining project, in the total estimated amount of $889,600, will leave a balance of $15,400 for future project expenditures.

 

Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government.
