Ordinance No. 2021-9-22: To amend subsection (b) of Section 12-104, Three-hour parking, of Article V, Stopping, Standing and Parking, of Chapter 12, Motor Vehicles and Traffic, of the City of Plano Code of Ordinances to add two newly completed public parking lots to the subsection, and providing a penalty clause, a repealer clause, a severability clause, a savings clause, a publication clause, and an effective date. Adopted

The construction of two public parking lots in the downtown area has recently been completed.  The parking lots provide additional 3-hour parking spaces for downtown patrons, businesses, and residents.

This item may impact revenue collected from parking fines due to the implementation of parking restrictions; however, the exact change in revenue is indeterminable and will have minimal impact on the General Fund budget.   

Approval of this item to establish parking restrictions in and along Public Parking Lots and spaces supports the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government.
