| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The Engineering Department opened bids on October 14, 2021 for the Wyngate Boulevard Paving Reconstruction project. The project includes pavement replacement along Wyngate Boulevard from Wynwood Drive to Wynview Drive. The project includes the removal and replacement of approximately 1,500 linear feet of full-width collector street pavement, sidewalk, driveways, and barrier free ramps.
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Alvand Construction, Inc. DBA Advance Contracting Group, in the amount of $843,247. There were a total of 1,453 vendors notified of this project. 13 complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.
If this project is not awarded, the result is continued deterioration of the existing pavement along Wyngate Boulevard, resulting in increased maintenance costs for the City and a negative impact on the quality of life in this neighborhood. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is available in the 2021-22 Street Improvement CIP. Construction services for the Wyngate Boulevard Paving Reconstruction project, in the total estimated amount of $843,247, will leave a current year balance of $70,801 for future project expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
