| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND Facilities has reviewed the bids submitted for the Jack Carter Maintenance Asbestos Abatement Demo project. The City received one (1) responsive bid , one (1) non-responsive bid and one (1) no bid. We recommend award to the lowest responsive, responsible bid to RNDI Companies, Inc. in the amount of $276,973.
The Jack Carter Park Maintenance Complex has been determined to be in the 100 year Flood Plain and has been replaced by two different CIP Projects, Enfield Park Maintenance and High Point North Park Maintenance. The land left after the demolition will be regraded and returned to natural park land. If this expense is not authorized this unoccupied structure will remain in the Flood Plain causing future issues.
The funding for the project is in Account 32-22173. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is available in the 2021-22 Park Improvements CIP. Demolition of the former Jack Carter Maintenance Facility structure, in the total estimated amount of $276,973, will leave a current year balance of $2,864,360 for future expenditures at the park.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
