On June 14, 2021, City Council awarded RFP No. 2020-0282-AC to Backflow Solutions Inc. (BSI) to administer the City's records management system for backflow prevention assemblies. This change will be more customer service friendly by providing testers the ability to submit annual reports online and Plano property owners the ability to view their backflow assembly history and records online. The primary need for updating the Cross-Connection Control ordinance is to allow a third party vendor to manage the city's records for backflow assemblies and test reports. Other minor changes also included definition changes and references, minor updates to backflow assembly requirements and references to updated codes. A red-lined version of the changes is being provided.
