| | | | | | | | PREVIOUS ACTION/PRESENTATION |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND Public Works recommends the bid for the Residential Concrete Pavement Maintenance Requirements Contract - 2022 project to be awarded to HQS Construction, LLC, in the amount of $1,691,826, to be accepted as the lowest responsible bid for the project conditioned upon timely execution of all necessary documents.
This project involves the repair of 19,000 square yards of street and alley pavement, 12,000 square feet of sidewalk and 51 barrier free ramps, located in residential areas throughout the City of Plano. The specific locations have not been identified. Street and alley locations will be selected on an as-needed basis from citizen requests, by Public Works staff and the City's pavement condition survey as being in need of repair to bring to a safe driving condition and extend the pavement service life. Sidewalk locations are identified from citizen requests and field verified by Public Works staff as a safety or ADA compliance issue.
If this project is not awarded at Council, the planned repairs will not occur, leaving the areas in an unsafe condition.
Engineer's estimate for this project is $2,040,000.
