To approve the terms and conditions of an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Plano and the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD), authorizing use of NTMWD’s reclaimed water for approved uses; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. This item will be considered at a future meeting.

For over 30 years the City has used reclaimed water provided by the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) to irrigate Pecan Hollow Golf Course. The reclaimed water is available from the Rowlett Creek Regional Waste Water Treatment Plant which is located adjacent to the golf course. The reclaimed water is provided by NTMWD at no cost to the City. The City provides a pump and water line to convey the water to the golf course.

The Reclaimed Water Use Agreement established in 2010 has expired. The terms of the new agreement have not changed. The agreement does not affect the availability of reclaimed water to the City of Plano for approved uses. The reclaimed water will continue to be provided to the City at no cost under the terms of the new agreement.
