To approve an expenditure for engineering professional services for Water Rehab - River Bend Phase 1, Project No. 7466, in the amount of $433,500 from Burgess and Niple, Inc. for the Engineering Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved

The Engineering Department recommends approval of an expenditure in the amount of $433,500 for engineering professional design services from Burgess and Niple, Inc., for the Water Rehab - River Bend Phase 1. This project includes replacement of approximately 14,200 LF of water mains within the River Bend subdivision along the following streets: Irvine Drive, Promontory Point, Iverness Lane, Trellis Lane, Serene Place, Indigo Drive, Anatole Court, Atrium Drive, Trilogy Drive, Lattice Court, Solarium Place, Woodburn Corners, and Tennis Place.

Burgess and Niple, Inc. was deemed most qualified based on their Statement of Qualifications submission for RFQ No. 2021-0379-XR.

The benefit of this project includes reduced maintenance cost and interruptions of services to residents.

Funding for this item is available in the 2021-22 Water CIP.  Professional design services for the Water Rehab - River Bend Phase I project, in the total estimated amount of $433,500, will leave a current year balance of $66,500 for future project expenditures.
