| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The Engineering Department opened bids on March 3, 2022 for the Indian Creek Tributary No. 13 and Shady Creek Circle Bank Stabilization project. The project includes streambank improvements for seven (7) sites along Indian Creek Tributary No. 13. The streambank improvements include the installation of gabion walls with concrete beams and rock anchors, gabion mattresses, concrete trail with sidewalk wall, reinforced turf mat, and additional streambank protection items.
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Stoic Civil Construction, Inc., in the amount of $1,525,000. There were a total of 842 vendors notified of this project. Seven (7) complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.
If this project is not awarded, the streambank along Indian Creek Tributary No. 13 will continue to erode along the back of residents properties and along the Shady Brook Trail resulting in negative impacts to adjacent properties as well as the City of Plano Parks trail. The loss of soil along the streambank and continued erosion will result in loss of valuable property for residents and Parks creating a poor quality of life for City of Plano residents. |
