| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The Engineering Department recommends approval of an expenditure in the amount of $349,300 for engineering professional design services from Halff Associates, Inc., for the Erosion Control – Willow Creek and Ports O’Call. This project includes miscellaneous drainage and erosion improvements at three (3) locations in the City of Plano. The project locations include the northern Stream IC-1A streambank along 6420/6424 Willow Creek Drive, the northern Stream IC-1A streambank along 6404/6408 Willow Creek Drive, and the Southern Stream 219 streambank along 2908/2909 Ports O’Call Court.
Halff Associates, Inc. was deemed most qualified based on their Statement of Qualifications submission for RFQ No. 2021-0377-XR.
The benefit of this project includes installing streambank stabilization devices that control the erosion along Stream IC-1A and Stream 219, and protect the adjacent properties, structures, and infrastructure.
Not approving the expenditure would result in continued erosion along the streambank resulting in potentially dangerous impacts to adjacent properties and structures. |
