| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The Engineering Department opened bids on April 7, 2022 for the Security Fencing at Ridgeview and Shiloh Pump Stations project. The project includes the removal and replacement of approximately 2,800 linear feet of existing security fencing, gates, approximately 1,600 linear feet of reinforced concrete mow-strip, 40 square yards of reinforced concrete flume, and removal of existing vegetation.
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Construction Rent-A-Fence, Inc., in the amount of $725,310.00. There were a total of 939 vendors notified of this project. Five (5) complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.
If this project is not awarded, safe and secure access at the Ridgeview and Shiloh Pump Stations could be compromised. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is available in the 2021-22 Water CIP and is planned for 2022-23, as well. Construction services for the Security Fencing at Ridgeview and Shiloh Pump Stations project, in the total estimated amount of $725,310, will leave a current year balance of $5,840 for future expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
