The Cartegraph system is used by the Public Works and Parks departments to track assets including everything from street signs to fire hydrants. History of those assets, work orders for maintenance and location tracking information are just some of the key functions the software is used for.
The year one (1) annual amount of $157,500 will be followed by up to four (4) automatic one-year renewals at an estimated annual amount of $162,126 for year two (2); $166,891 for year three (3); $171,800 for year four (4) and $176,855 for year five (5) respectively. The estimated total amount, if all renewals are used, is $835,172.
It is important that the City keeps maintenance on this software as it is critical to the operation of the Public Works and Parks departments. Maintenance on this software also allows us to get the latest security updates as well as entitles us to feature updates when released.
If this maintenance is not awarded, we leave the City of Plano exposed to possible vulnerabilities, and risk the City of Plano possibly losing critical inventory information for tracked assets.
Cartegraph Systems LLC is the sole company who can provide the Cartegraph Operations Management Software (OMS) Suite.
The City is exempt from the competitive bid process for this purchase as allowed by Texas Local Government Code Chapter 252 Subchapter B Section 252.022(a)(7)(A). (City of Plano Internal Contract No. 2022-0511-X)
