The City of Plano has been awarded federal funds via a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Improvement Program Project for the City-Wide Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Camera Expansion.  The funds include the procurement and installation of approximately 160 CCTV cameras at intersections throughout the City of Plano.  The Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation establishes cost sharing.  Costs will be allocated based on 100% federal funding until the federal funding reaches the maximum obligated amount.  Transportation Development Credits will be used to satisfy the local match.  In the event the project cost exceeds federal funding, the City will be responsible for the remaining cost.

Upon approval of this resolution, the City of Plano will enter into the agreement and begin procurement/installation Fall 2022.
