It is the recommendation of the Engineering  - Facilities Division to proceed with the roof replacement and waterproofing at the Parr Library in the amount of $577,523 from MRB Contractors LLC.

The Engineering - Facilities Division received seven bids and recommends the award to the lowest bid which also provides the best value to the City from MRB Contractors LLC.

The replacement of the roof is at the end of its life expectancy and has deteriorated such that replacement is required to protect the contents of the building.

If this work is not done, this could cause damage to the building including the interior of the building and its contents.

The funding for the project is in the Capital Improvement Plan account 17213.

Funding for this item is available in the 2021-22 Library Facilities CIP and is planned for 2022-23, as well.  Construction services for the Parr Library Roof Replacement and Waterproofing project, in the total estimated amount of $577,523, will leave a current year balance of $46,000 for future project expenditures.
