| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY To approve an expenditure for landscape architect professional services for Hoblitzelle Park East Renovation, Project No. 7023, in the amount of $174,675 from Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc. for the Parks and Recreation Department; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND This project includes landscape architect professional services necessary for renovation of the Hoblitzelle Park East playground and adjoining areas. Services include topographic surveying, schematic design, design development, construction documents, Subsurface Utility Engineering services, geotechnical services, easement exhibits, Texas Accessibility Standard plan review and inspection, lighting and electrical design, bid and construction phase services.
Teague Nall and Perkins, Inc. was deemed most qualified based on their Statement of Qualifications submission to the CIP Park Development RFQ No. 2021-0380-XR in the Park Design category.
The benefit of this project includes preparation of design documents needed to renovate Hoblitzelle Park East. Not approving the expenditure would prevent the preparation of design documents and prohibit the project from moving forward.

| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is available in the 2021-22 Park Improvements CIP and is planned for 2022-23, as well. Professional design services for the Hoblitzelle Park East Renovations project, in the total estimated amount of $174,675, will leave a current year balance of $441,775 for future project expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
