RFB No. 2023-0078-B for Water Rehabilitation - Cross Creek East 3B, Project No. 7055.1, for the Engineering Department to ANA Site Construction, LLC in the amount of $4,729,260; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved

The Engineering Department opened bids on January 10, 2023 for the Water Rehabilitation – Cross Creek East 3B Project No 7055.1. The project includes the removal and replacement of 11,776 linear feet of 8” water line, 1,130 linear feet of 6” water line, approximately 7,300 square yards of reinforced concrete pavement, and additional sidewalk, park trail adjacent to the neighborhood, driveways, and barrier free ramps within the project limits.

The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by ANA Site Construction, LLC, in the amount of $4,729,260. There were a total of 1,681 vendors notified of this project. Ten (10) complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.

If this project is not awarded, the result is continued deterioration of the existing water lines along the project site, resulting in increased maintenance costs for the City and a negative impact on the quality of life in this neighborhood.

Funding for this item is available in the 2022-23 Street Improvements CIP and Water CIP and is planned in both funds for 2023-24, as well.  Construction services for the Water Rehabilitation - Cross Creek East project, in the total estimated amount of $4,729,260, will leave a current year balance of $425,702 for future project expenditures.
