ITEM SUMMARY

Public Hearing and consideration of an Ordinance as requested in Zoning Case 2022-017 to amend Article 9 (Residential Districts),  Article 10 (Nonresidential Districts), and Article 14 (Allowed Uses and Use Classifications) of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City, Ordinance No. 2015-5-2, as heretofore amended, to improve alignment of the Residential Community Design and Neighborhood Business Design districts with the comprehensive plan; and providing a penalty clause, a repealer clause, a savings clause, a severability clause, a publication clause, and an effective date.  Petitioner:  City of Plano (Tabled at the February 13, 2023, City Council meeting.)  Conducted and adopted Ordinance No. 2023-2-6.

BACKGROUND

The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval by a vote of 7-0; additionally, the substance of this item, in whole or in part, was discussed by City Council on January 25, 2021 as part of Zoning Cases 2020-012 and 2020-013, and at Commission meetings on September 19, 2022, December 19, 2022 and January 17, 2023.
