| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY To appoint an Associate Judge of the Municipal Court of Record of the City of Plano, setting the term of office and compensation for the Judge; and providing an effective date. Adopted Ordinance No. 2023-5-7 |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND An Ordinance is being submitted for the appointment of Mark Ledbetter as Associate Judge of the City of Plano Municipal Court of Record to fill the unexpired term of the prior Associate Judge, which term is set to expire on June 30, 2025 and to set the compensation of said Associate Judge. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item, in the amount of $63,087 (including benefits), is included in the approved 2022-23 Budget. This amount will cover the remainder of this fiscal year and future years will occur within Council approved appropriations. City Charter authorizes the selection and appointment of the judges of the Municipal Court of Record with the approval of the City Council.
Approval of this Ordinance will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
