| | | | | | | | ITEM SUMMARY Public Hearing and consideration of appeals of the Planning & Zoning Commission's denials of Zoning Case 2022-009 and Concept Plan 2022-008. Request to rezone 19.1 acres located at the southwest corner of Plano Parkway and Executive Drive from Corridor Commercial to Planned Development-Corridor Commercial. The purpose of this request is to allow mid-rise residential units and single-family residence attached units as permitted uses and to modify development standards which may include but are not limited to: the location and size of residential uses; building setbacks; maximum floor area ratio; open space; landscape requirements; building design; parking; and other development standards. Zoned Corridor Commercial and located within the 190 Tollway/Plano Parkway Overlay District. Applicant: Onalp Property Owner, LLC Remanded to Planning & Zoning Commission |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND At its May 1, 2023 meeting, the Planning & Zoning Commission denied these requests, each by a vote of 4-3. The applicant appealed the Commission's denials. A 3/4 vote, or 6 of the 8 City Council members, is required for approval of the zoning request. If the zoning is approved, a simple majority is required to approve the concept plan.
Approval of this request will require findings due to conflicts with the Comprehensive Plan’s policy guidance for Redevelopment and Growth Management. |
