RFB No. 2023-0343-B for Plano Event Center Partial Roof Replacement, Project No. FAC-F-7595, for the Engineering Department to RoofMaster Maintenance & Roofing, Inc. in the amount of $342,263; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved

Procurement solicited a bid for Partial Roof Replacement. Seven (7) responses were received.

The Engineering Department opened bids on June 1, 2023 for the Plano Event Center Partial Roof Replacement. The project is for a partial roof replacement, this roof is by plan scheduled to be replaced in phases due to its size and differing roof types, the other phases were replaced in recent years. The project includes all labor, equipment, materials and supervision as required by the specifications and drawings.

The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by RoofMaster Maintenance & Roofing Inc. in the amount of $342,263.00. There were a total of 952 vendors notified of this project. Seven (7) complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.

If this project is not awarded, the result is continued deterioration of the existing roof, resulting in increased maintenance costs and possible damage to the interior of the facility and a negative impact on the quality of facility.

The funding for the project is in the Project FAC-F-7595 Capital Improvement Fund account number 22250.

Funding for this item is available in the 2022-2023 Park Improvements CIP.  Construction services for the Plano Event Center Partial Roof Replacement project, in the total estimated amount of $342,263, will leave a current year balance of $340,787 for future project expenditures.
