Procurement solicited a bid for the replacement of the HVAC Controls which includes the replacement of the cooling tower and controls for the air conditioning system.

The Engineering Department opened bids on June 1, 2023 for the replacement of the HVAC Controls which includes the replacement of the cooling tower and controls for the air conditioning system. The project includes all labor, materials and supervision as required by the specifications and drawings.

The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Air Conditioning Innovative Solutions in the amount of $1,100,000.00.

The existing air conditioning cooling tower and controls are over 15 years old and are at the end of their life expectancy. They have deteriorated such that replacement is required to maintain temperature control to support daily functions & activities for the facility.

The funding for the project is in Project FAC-F-7359 Capital Maintenance Fund account number 54525.

Funding for this item is available in the 2022-23 Capital Maintenance Fund.  Replacement of the HVAC controls and cooling tower for the Plano Center Phase 3 HVAC Controls Replacement project, in the total estimated amount of $1,100,000, will leave a project balance of $47,876 for future expenditures.
