The Engineering Department opened bids on June 08, 2023 for Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Replace Data Air Computer Room Air Conditioning Units at the EOC. The project includes all labor, equipment, materials and supervision as required by the specifications and drawings.

The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Air Conditioning Innovative Solutions, Inc. with a base bid to replace AC units one & three for $378,282.46 plus add alternate 1 to replace unit two for $188,013.73 and add alternate 2 to replace air conditioning unit four for $190,268.73. The total including add alternates is $756,564.92.

There were a total of 1,552 vendors notified of this project and 2 complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.

The existing air conditioning units are over 15 years old and are at the end of their life expectancy. They have deteriorated such that replacement is required to maintain temperature control to support the computer room equipment for the facility.

Funding for this item is available in the 2022-23 Capital Maintenance Fund and is planned for future years, as well.  Replacement of the Data Air Computer Room Air Conditioning Units at the Emergency Operations Center, in the total estimated amount of $756,565, will leave a project balance of $108,635 for future expenditures.
