RFB No. 2023-0401-B for Building 066 and 144 Emergency Operations Center and Northwest Police Substation Carports, Project No. FAC-F-7511, for the Engineering Department to Brad Drake Construction LLC in the amount of $1,515,115; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents. Approved

The Engineering Department opened bids on June 27, 2023 for the Building 066 & 144 Emergency Operations Center and Northwest Police Substation Carports project. The project includes car covers to protect emergency response fleet vehicles at both the Northwest Police Substation (now known as Rushin Police Substation) and the Emergency Operations Center.

The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by Brad Drake Construction LLC, in the amount of $1,515,115.  There were a total of 1520 vendors notified of this project.  Four (4) complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.

If this project is not awarded the emergency vehicle fleet housed at these facilities will be at risk for storm damage, limiting the City's ability to respond effectively.

Funding for this item is available in the Capital Maintenance Fund and is planned for future years, as well.  Construction services for the Building 066 & 144 Emergency Operations Center and Northwest Police Substation carport project, in the total estimated amount of $1,515,115, will leave a project balance of $255,600 for future expenditures.
