| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND The Engineering Department opened bids on June 6, 2024 for the Water Rehabilitation – Park Boulevard Phase 2 (US75 to East City Limits). The project includes approximately 10,803 LF of water mains ranging from 6” to 12” along Park Boulevard from US75 to the east city limits.
The lowest responsive and responsible bid was submitted by ANA Site Construction, LLC, in the amount of $3,622,063. There were a total of 1,295 vendors notified of this project. Two (2) complete bids were received for the project as shown in the attached bid recap.
If this project is not awarded, the result is continued deterioration of the existing water lines along the project limits, resulting in increased maintenance costs for the City and a negative impact on the quality of life in this neighborhood. |
| | | | | | | | FINANCIAL SUMMARY/STRATEGIC GOALS Funding for this item is available in the 2023-24 Water CIP and is planned for future year, as well. Construction services for the Water Rehabilitation - Park Boulevard Phase 2 (US75 to East City Limits) project, in the total estimated amount of $3,622,063, will leave a balance of $288,418 for future expenditures.
Approval of this item will support the City's Strategic Plan Critical Success Factor of being an Excellent, Innovative, and Accountable City Government. |
